Dr Tan obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the National University of Singapore in 2007. He had also participated in the Student Exchange Program at the University of North Carolina, USA in 2006.

Upon graduation, Dr Tan worked in the government sector at several institutions namely the Health Promotion Board, National Dental Center, Prosthodontic Department, National Dental Center, Minimal Intervention, KK Women and Children’s Hospital, Cleft & Craniofacial Department and NHG Hougang DentalCare.

Dr Tan has a wide range of experience in crowns, bridges, dentures and pediatric dentistry due to his previous work postings. His clinical interests include cosmetic dentistry, smile makeovers and treating malocclusions with Invisalign. And in 2014, Dr Tan was distinguished as a platinum Invisalign provider, having treated more than 50 cases in a year

Being one of the pioneering dentists who spearheaded the Minimal Intervention Program in National Dental Center, he believes that prevention is always better than cure. His practice involves in communicating with his patients, allowing them to be well informed before commencing any form of treatment.

As a firm believer in education, Dr Tan is committed in improving his knowledge and skills by participating in local and overseas courses in order to provide his patients with the most holistic treatment. Among these courses, the most recent Dr Tan attended was at Interdisciplinary Dental Education Academy (IDEA) in San Francisco which focused on the clinical and theoretical aspects in tooth coloured restorations.

Dr Tan was one of the teaching staff for Nitec in Dental Assisting for dental assistants during his posting in National Dental Center. He had also served as a committee member for major conferences like the FDI Annual World Dental Congress (2009) and International Dental Exhibition Meeting and Meeting (2006/2008).

Dr Tan is a member of the Singapore Dental Association where he served as a core committee member in the ethics department (2007) and oral health awareness (2007-2009). He is also a member of the Aesthetic Dentistry Society Singapore (ADSS) and College of General Dental Practitioners Singapore (CGDP).

Holding firm to the health adage “the greatest wealth is health”, Kenneth spends his spare time swimming and working out in the gym.
